If you’re going to be making several trips on Delhi’s metro, get a Smart Card from a customer service kiosk which is more convenient and gives you a 10% discount on every journey.

Every train on the Delhi Metro has a women-only car. This is always situated at the front of the train.
– Travel Tip –
There are luggage restrictions on the Delhi Metro. The DMRC request passengers limit their baggage to 15 Kgs and no taller than 60cm.

Security checks are a normal part of travelling on the Delhi Metro. Bags are x-rayed and passengers may be patted down.
