Tomorrow night (Wednesday 24th February) the Brit Awards 2016 will be hosted at London’s O2 Arena. The star-studded ceremony will consist of performances from the likes of Rihanna, Adele, Coldplay and Justin Bieber, as well as announcing the winners in all 11 categories. At Mapway HQ we took a little trip down memory lane, looking back at previous Brit Award nominees and the different London locations they have used in the past to shoot their music videos. Along the way we spotted some pretty noticeable stations from our Tube Map app. And so we ask you – how well is your music video trivia? Take our quiz and find out… To test your knowledge simply read the below questions and click on the YouTube links for the correct answers.  

1. Jamiroquai

Although they have never been successful in winning an award, Jamiroquai have been nominated for eight Brit Awards in total. In 1994 the band were nominated for six awards including Best Album and Best British Group. Question: In the opening shot for one of their music videos, lead singer Jay Kay is shown walking out of Piccadilly Circus Tube station dressed as an astronaut. 2. Blur

3. The Prodigy

Another band with more than a handful of Brit nominations – The Prodigy won Best British Dance Act back in 1997 and again in 1998. 4. Daniel Bedingfield

5. One Direction

One Direction have received five Brit Awards out of eleven nominations. Like Blur they will be featured in this year’s 2016 nominations as the boy band are up for British Group and British Artist Video of the Year. 6. Madonna

With over 266 different awards in her cabinet, it’s no surprise The Queen of Pop is on the list of Brit Award winners.
